DAY ONE - Elgin Cathedral Chapter House concert - This concert is free of charge, however Historic Scotland will be charging the usual fees to enter the Cathedral grounds. We suggest you have a membership with Historic Scotland which can be a lot cheaper.

Come and join us for Elgin Summer Music 2019 - International Festival where you can experience sounds of Traditional Music Of Origin from Kazakhstan, Scottish Ceilidh presented by Worldwide Know button accordionists Graeme Mackay, exceptional Fiona Mery Elizabeth Kyle with her beautiful harp. Fantastic Harp Groups from Feis Moray, Excellent Woodwind orchestra for Gordonstoun, very talented pianists form Wellenger School of Music, Gaelic Choir and many more. You can also take part in Grand Finale - As a thank you to our artists for fantastic live music we invite all artists and their families to Ceilidh Ball.
Elgin Summer Music International Festival is an initiative to support schools, community groups and other organisations focused on art & music education and raise the prestige of cultural life in our region. Therefore, Elgin Summer Music 2019 is one part of the Wellenger School Of Music Annual Award project. For this occasion Wellenger School Of Music, invites all primary & secondary schools, music groups, individual artists and other music organisations to take part in Elgin Summer Music 2019. The event is designed for young people, to present their skills in Classical and Traditional Scottish Music, International Folk Music, Film and Soundtrack and more. Students, school groups and other organisations will have an opportunity to showcasing with professional musicians. Many solo acts and groups in different places during the two day non-competitive festival will take place. As the culmination of the festival we offer Summer Ceilidh Ball with live music- provided by worldwide known button accordionist, Graeme Mackay who is famous for his solo work as well as being part of the ceilidh band Tweed. Now local to the area we are delighted to have him on board. We are also delighted to inform that this Year 2019 thanks to Mr Adam Csenki - Junior School Music Co-ordinator at Gordonstoun we have folk musicians from Kazakhstan.
It is going to be a beautiful fest of sounds from around the world.
