This is our second year with young local talents. This year we are featuring a very special guest Izabella Effenberg - who is a world-wide known artist, playing unusual instruments, such as water harp, Arraya Mbira, vibraphone.
We are reaching out to all the schools in Highlands & Moray to provide their most talented musical individuals, choirs, orchestras and bands to play for the event and showcase their talents to the local audience and the judging panel.
There will be several awards, for schools, groups & soloists. This will be awarded at the Elgin Summer Music International Festival 2020 at the Grand Finale in Elgin Town Hall.

To win The Young Musician Award will not be easy. The winner will need to excel in four competitive rounds over 7 months in 2019 - 2020. But everyone has a chance to be heard – we audition everybody who is eligible to apply and everyone can receive feedback from the judges. For us, it’s wonderful to hear so much inspiring music-making, all around Scotland. We look forward to welcoming a new group of talented performers as we start our search for Young Musician Of The Year 2019. If you wish to put your name forward, please send us all required documents until 11th October 2019.
